The corrosion and heat resistant steel should comply with:

• hot-rolled rounds per GOST 2590-88;
• hot-rolled squares per GOST 2591-88 ;
• hot-rolled hexes per GOST 2879-88 ;
This type of steel is subdivided into nickel-containing and non-nickel-containing.
The nickel containing grades are 121810, 081810, 232318, 101713 and etc.

The average carbon content is stated in percentage decimals.
The steels 121810, 081810…(titanium doped) are corrosion resistant. The parts made from the steel specified operate in mild conditions under the pressure and at temperature from -196 to +6000 C, at +3500 C.
The steel 232318 and etc. is heat-resistant, the parts made of this type of steel are capable to operate at temperature up to 11000C.
The steel 101713 is corrosion resistant; the parts made from such steel are capable to operate in extreme conditions. (Sulphuric acid).
Without nickel – grades 3013, 4013, 9518, 1525 and etc.
The average carbon content is stated in decimals (1/100), the chrome content in deciles(1/10) The grades 2013, 4013, 9518 are widely used to produce cutting tool (knives and etc.). These types of steel are corrosion and heat resistant. The parts made from such steel are capable to operate at temperature from 450 to 5000C. The parts made from steel grades containing titanium are capable to operate at temperature 11000C (for example, 1525).
Some of the grades substitutes include:
• 121810 - 081882, 0817, 1525, 12189;
• 202318 - 202313, 1525;
• 42013 - 013.


The welding capacity:

  • The nickel containing grades has high to average welded capacity;
  • The non-nickel containing has either poor welding capacity or not used for welded constructions.
