This group of metal products includes longitudinal electrically welded steel pipes made of carbon and low-alloyed steel used for pipelines and structures of different purposes.
There are many types of longitudinal electrically welded pipes, including:
· round
· shaped (square, rectangular, oval);
· Steel bent closed welded square and rectangular sections (square and rectangular)
This group includes longitudinal electrically-welded steel pipes with diameter:
· From 10 to 530 mm as per GOST 10705-91 ;
· From 478 to 1420 mm as per GOST 10706-76 .
Pipe schedule conforms to GOST 10704-91 .
Pipes are fabricated of the following lengths:
· Off-gauge length – from 2 to 12m
· Gauge length – from 5 to 12m
Pipes with diameter over 426 mm are only off-gauge length.
Gauge and multiple length pipes are divided into 2 grades by length accuracy:
· with ends cut and sharp edges removed;
· without ends cut and sharp edges removed (with cutting at rolling mill).
Pipes are fabricated of the following steel grades:
· Ñò2ñï, Ñò2ïñ, Ñò2êï, Ñò4ñï, Ñò4ïñ, Ñò4êï according GOST 380;
· 10, 10ïñ, 20, 35, 45, 08êï ïî GOST 1050 .
Depending on their quality characteristics, pipes shall be fabricated of the following groups:
· À – with normalization of mechanical characteristics;
· Á - with normalization of chemical composition;
· Â – with normalization of mechanical characteristics and chemical composition;
· Ä –with normalization of hydraulic test pressure.
Fabricated pipes can be heat-treated (over all pipe body or weld joint), hot –reduced or not heat-treated.
Pipes with 57 mm diameter or over are allowed to have one transverse weld.
Pipes with 820 mm diameter or over must have two longitudinal welds or one transverse weld.
This group includes shaped electrically welded pipes fabricated according to GOST 13663-86.
Schedule of electrically welded pipes conforms as follows:
• Square - GOST 8639-82 ;
• Rectangular - GOST 8645-68 ;
• Oval - GOST 8642-68 .
Shaped electrically welded pipes are fabricated with outer dimensions from 10 to 100 mm; and wall thickness from 1.0 to 5 mm with the following length:
• Off-gauge length: - from 1.5 to 9m
• Gauge length – from 5 to 9m
• Gauge multiple length – any length that does not exceed the minimum limit specified for gauge length pipes.
Pipe are fabricated of the following steel grades:
• Ñò2ñï, Ñò2ïñ, Ñò2êï, Ñò4ñï, Ñò4ïñ, Ñò4êï ïî GOST 380 ;
• 10, 10ïñ, 20, 35, 45, 08êï ïî GOST 1050 .
Depending on their quality characteristics, pipes shall be fabricated of the following groups:
• À – with normalization of mechanical characteristics;
• Â – with normalization of mechanical characteristics and chemical composition;
Fabricated pipes can be heat-treated or non-heat-treated.
Steel bent closed welded (square and rectangular) sections are fabricated according to GOST 30245-2003 with size of 80 to 300 mm in off-gauge, gauge and multiple gauge lengths from 6 to 12m.
Limit deviations in height or width of sections are:
· Height (width) of section up to 100 mm - ±1,5ìì;
· Height (width) of section over 100 mm- ± 2ìì.
Limit deviations in section thickness shall not be more than:
· thickness 2,0-3,5mm - ±0,22;
· thickness 3,5-3,9mm - ±0,24;
· thickness 3,9-5,5mm - +0,3/-0,5;
· thickness 5,5-7,5mm - +0,25/-0,6;
· thickness 7,5-10,0mm - +0,3/-0,8;
· thickness 10,0-12,0mm - +0,3/-0,8.
This group of metal products includes seamless hot-deformed pipes made of anticorrosive steel of general purpose; their external diameter and wall thickness are performed according to GOST 9940-81; Also this group includes cold – and warm-deformed pipes made of rust-resisting steel of general purpose with external diameter and wall thickness made according to GOST 9941-81 .
Pipe schedule conforms to GOST 9940-81 .
Pipes are fabricates of the following lengths:
· Off-gauge length – from 1.5 to 10m
· Gauge length – in the range of off-gauge length pipe with + 15mm length limit deviations;
· Multiple gauge length – in the range of gauge length with 5 mm allowance for each cut and +15mm full-length deviation. Minimum multiple length is 300mm
· Limited length – in the range of gauge length with ± 500 mm length limit deviation
Stainless hot-deformed pipes are made of steel with chemical composition as per GOST 5632 with microaddings of rear-earth metals.
Presence of sulfur in steel that is utilized for pipe fabrication subject to welding shall not be over 0.02%.
Fabricated pipes can be heat-treated or non heat-treated.
Pipe schedule conforms to GOST 9941-81 .
Pipes are fabricated of the following lengths:
· Off-gauge length
· With wall thickness up to 0.5mm - from 0,75 to 7m;
· With wall thickness from 0.5 up to 1.0mm – from 1,0 to 7m;
· With wall thickness from 1.00 mm and more - from 1,5 to 12,5m.
· Gauge length - in the range of off-gauge length pipe with + 15mm length limit deviations;
· Multiple gauge length – in the range of gauge length with 5 mm allowance for each cut and +15mm full-length deviation. Minimum multiple length is 300mm
Pipes are made of steel with chemical composition as per GOST 5632. It is allowed to fabricate pipes with rear-earth metals microadding.
This group of metal products includes electrically welded pipes made of rust-resisting steel intended for fabrication of pipes and various structures as per GOST 11068-81.
Pipe schedule conforms to GOST 11068-81.
Pipe are fabricated of the following lengths:
· Gauge length – from 5 to 9m
· Gauge length with surplus – not more than 10 % (in weight) of off-gauge length pipe
· Multiple gauge length – up to 9 m and with 5 mm allowance for each cut which is included into each multiple length;
· Multiple length with surplus – not more than 10 % (in weight) of off-gauge length pipe
· Off gauge length - from 1.5 to 9 m
Length limit deviations of gauge and multiple length pipes shall not be more than + 15 mm.
Theoretical weight of 1 m pipe (m), kg are calculated by the following formula:
M= psng(Dn-sn)/1000, where

Pipes are fabricated of 10Õ18Í10Ò è 04Õ17Ò steel grades with chemical composition as per GOST 11068-81; and
